We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. All sale items are FINAL SALE & returns/exchanges are for in-store credit ONLY
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

- You will get a confirmation email with the shipping guidelines once the return request is approved

- Original shipping charges are non-refundable

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
How soon will I get my in-store credit?
- Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your credit.
- If you are approved, then your in-store credit will be processed, and a online gift card will be automatically be sent to your email within 10 working days.

Melat, Founder and Creative Director
I am the Founder and Creative Director of my clothing brand DolMel, an Ethiopian fashion brand bringing a unique approach that pushes a millennia-old tradition of hand-weaving into the 21st century. Since I can remember, I had a passion for fashion and design which was built around the principle that every woman deserves to feel beautiful and empowered in her flesh. With DolMel I aim to help grow the traditional Ethiopian textile industry through partnering with local weavers and designers. Furthermore, I aim to build my fashion brand while empowering Ethiopian women in weaving and design to make a greater name for themselves globally in the most innovative way.
The Brand
DolMel is an Ethiopian fashion brand whose goal is to empower Ethiopian women working in weaving and design to make a greater name for themselves globally. One of the focus areas of our startup business is the cultural heritage aspect it takes from the historic ‘Shemena’ hand-weaving industry. ‘Shemena’ in Ethiopia has been a way of life for centuries that represents the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the country and remains one of the most important non-agricultural forms of income for Ethiopians with livelihoods dependent on the hand-weaving subsector. DolMel developed a solution to dramatically impact the textile industry in Ethiopia by doing something nobody else has done in the country - high-quality digital reactive printing on our handwoven cotton fabrics both for local and global markets. In addition, the brand plays a significant role in the economic advancement and development of the country by creating employment opportunities, substituting imports, and supplying finished apparel products both for the domestic and global market which saves foreign currency and allows a sense of pride in country products that can be competitive on the international market.
